Durante l’apertura dell’ultimo Festival di Cannes, Thomas Cailley ha presentato il suo lungometraggio alla selezione Un Certain Regard: Le Règne Animal.
La colonna sonora del film è stata affidata ad Andrea Laszlo De Simone, diventato in questi anni un vero artista di culto non solo in Italia, ma anche in Francia.
L’umanità è qui immersa nel caos e assiste al risveglio del suo lato animale. L’intensità di questo film di fantasia risiede in un viaggio emotivo, al tempo stesso divertente e commovente, tra un padre e suo figlio. Il compositore ci mette la sua firma, fondendo elementi acustici, elettronici e classici. Il risultato è una composizione musicale potente, condotta sulla tonalità del film, sul suo naturalismo e sulla narrazione di una mitologia universale.
Andrea, dopo aver registrato personalmente la musica, ha scritto gli arrangiamenti per una piccola orchestra di archi, strumenti a fiato e voci. Questa colonna sonora originale diventa quindi un’esperienza viva, sensuale e organica.
Attraverso questo film di genere, Thomas Cailley e Andrea Laszlo De Simone elevano l’esperienza cinematografica verso nuovi orizzonti, lontani dalle solite distopie.

E’ disponibile da oggi in preorder il vinile con la colonna sonora originale del film, che esce con il marchio 35mm (la sublabel di 42 Records che si occupa di colonne sonore e musiche sperimentali) e che include anche “Il regno animale”, brano non appartenente al film ma ispirato dallo stesso.
Il disco fisico sarà disponibile a Natale, mentre da oggi è possibile ascoltare la colonna sonora de “Le Règne Animal” in tutti gli store digitali.

La colonna sonora uscirà per Ekleroshock in Francia, Regno Unito, Belgio, Canada e Stati Uniti.

During the opening of the last Cannes Film Festival, Thomas Cailley presented his feature film to the Un Certain Regard selection: Le Règne Animal.
The film’s soundtrack was entrusted to Andrea Laszlo De Simone, who in recent years has become a true cult artist not only in Italy but also in France.
Humanity is here plunged into chaos and witnesses the awakening of its animal side. The intensity of this fantasy film lies in an emotional journey, at once funny and moving, between a father and his son. The composer puts his signature on it, blending acoustic, electronic and classical elements. The result is a powerful musical composition, conducted on the tone of the film, its naturalism and the narrative of a universal mythology.
Andrea, after personally recording the music, wrote the arrangements for a small orchestra of strings, wind instruments and voices. This original soundtrack thus becomes a living, sensual and organic experience.
Through this genre-bending film, Thomas Cailley and Andrea Laszlo De Simone elevate the cinematic experience to new horizons, far from the usual dystopias.

A vinyl recording of the film’s original soundtrack, which is being released under the 35mm label (42 Records’ sublabel of experimental soundtracks and music) and which also includes “Le Règne Animal,” a track that does not belong to the film but was inspired by it, is available for pre-order now.
The physical disc will be available at Christmas, while from today you can listen to the soundtrack of “Le Règne Animal” in all digital stores.
